This powerhouse smoothie is one of my go to medicinal foods.  The active compound in turmeric, curcumin, has many medicinal benefits.  It is a powerful antioxidant that has  anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and antiviral properties. Turmeric has been used for thousands of years as a remedy for stomach and liver ailments.

This smoothie also has pineapple and ginger for digestive discomfort and maca powder for hormonal balance.

It tastes great too!
